Some of you may have heard that thieves entered St James on the night of Thursday 26th March. Amongst other things, they stole the cross from the holy table and our collection plate, various items from the kitchen area, and the photocopier, which was being used to copy newsletters to keep congregation members in contact and give them services to use at home. This was hugely distressing of course, but there has been a real outpouring of love and support from church members, ministry colleagues, and the general public. We have kindly been offered donations but hope to make an insurance claim, so at this time we would rather people gave money to the CAVS Way to Wellness campaign to support local people in need via the CAVS Castle Point website.
